As part of the services run by The Garwood Foundation, we offer a Welfare Support Service. This is an independent support service for children and adults with disabilities, their families and carers. This work is focussed on providing information, advocacy support, issues of benefit and liaising with various statutory bodies including Education, Social Services and the PCT. Parents / carer support groups are also held on a regular basis.

At present, these services include:
ADULT'S SOCIAL WORKER
Based at Bramley Hill, Rosemary Odling, the Adults' Social Worker, works with the adult members of The Garwood Foundation and their families.
CARER SUPPORT WORKER
Based at Rutherford School, Amanda Cox, the Carer Support Worker, can provide a range of services to the families whose children currently attend Rutherford School or to families who are interested in their child attending Rutherford School.
